Kernow Chamber Players
Kernow Chamber Players was started by Harriet and Richard Bushman. Harriet grew up in London and started her life as a concert pianist and composer. Richard grew up in Boston in the US, and worked as an international banker. Now we live most of the year in Kuwait, where we run Ahmadi Music Group, the oldest cultural organisation in the country. We have a symphony orchestra, choir, jazz ensemble, and music school.

We started Kernow Chamber Players to do high-quality music and theatre projects in Cornwall in the summer and at Christmas. But now, our theatre projects are touring more widely, and we are looking at a chance to do Revenge of Peter Rabbit as a children's musical in the summer of 2025.
The Story
In Beatrix Potter's immortal "The Tale of Peter Rabbit", we are sorry to learn that Peter Rabbit's father met with a terrible fate and was baked into a pie. Our musical begins with the funeral for Peter's father, "A rabbit on a mission". At the funeral the animals resolve to join together to expel Mr MacGregor from the forest. Each animal group--the ducks, the mice, the kittens, even the rats--must play their part in the scheme. A terrible danger at the last moment means that Peter Rabbit himself must be heroically brave for the plan to succeed.
At the funeral for Peter Rabbit's father, the animals make their plan to eject Mr MacGregor from the forest
The rats capture Tom Kitten and plan to bake him into a roly poly pudding; he is rescued by the dog John Joiner
Mr MacGregor complains about "Rabbits in me Radishes"
The animals gather in the forest to wash their clothes in the stream, and then sing and dance together
